IMAGE Studios Salon Suites - Birmingham

I have had a suite here since earlier this year and I love it here. The owners Jenn and Troy are so sweet. I do know that there was issues with Air, but that was something they were having to work out with the engineering of the building. They tried so hard to make accommodations for everyone. Luckily my room did not experience a lot of issues. The space is clean, beautiful, modern and all of the amenities you need to start your business. I already have a current location that I’ve been at for five years, but needed a secondary location and they worked with me so fast and they were so accommodating. I think this is a great space if you are trying to start your own business and build from there. It’s a great option!

I went for my hair appointment today and while that service was great, the temperature was all over the place. Tabitha's regular space was super warm. I almost seemed like the heat was on. I luckily had on shorts, otherwise I wouldn't have been able.to stay. When it was time for the blow drying and flat ironing, we had to go to another space around the corner that had cold air. This also meant Tabitha had to go back and forth between spaces for supplies. It's a nice looking facility, but the temperature issues really made it uncomfortable.

While my stylist did a fantastic job and I was happy with the service, the air conditioning wasn’t working properly (and this has been the case the last two visits, over the past month or so). Alabama is HOT during the summer. This needs to be addressed.

I was going to a stylist first quarter 2025. She was complaining about the landlords. She moved and I was not able to get to her. I reached out to another stylist and got an appt. When she sent the location which was this place I thought “oh boy….” The building management will not get the HVAC to work and it has been miserably hot in the suite. My stylist is moving already! Thankfully her new location is equally convenient for me. Think twice before leasing from this location. I mean - AC in the summer in Birmingham, Alabama is a must. And it should not take months to remedy an AC issue. How is that too much to ask for? There is not a location or facility in the state that can make up for not providing AC.

It's a nice establishment, pretty clean, but it is an absolute SAUNA in there each time I go. This is the South, they've got to fix that before they catch a case over someone passing out from heatstroke or something. I'm only there once a week, I can't imagine what it's like for the workers that have to be there every day.
