Hedden, Gunn, and Halka Plastic Surgery

I researched surgeons for 3 years in both AL and TN, deciding on Dr.Gunn, based on his reviews, education and experience. So glad I did! I had the BEST visit! Dr. Gunn thoroughly addressed my concerns, eased my anxiety and made me feel incredibly optimistic and confident about my future procedure and results. His staff was so supportive and kind. Dr Gunn is hands down the way to go when looking to improve yourself. Dive in and DO IT! You’ve EARNED THIS!!

Dr. Hedden has been my surgeon now for a few years; very good doctor and has great bedside manners. I had a tummy tuck in 2019, I believe but recently just went in for arm lift March 2025, I didn’t get the desired results but he did a revision Dec 2025 with no problem and no hassle. Only downside was I hate the drains in which he knows that lol. I came to this review to brag on Maddie and Abby, they are SUCH SWEETHEARTS, two of the best nurses I must say. Maddie was sweet, she was very calming and accommodating, such a doll. Abby went above and beyond, I stated to get lightheaded at my post op and she made sure that I was good, she stayed with me until I felt good enough to move. They are hands down the sweetest, went the extra mile, I never felt more comfortable. The surgeons are definitely blessed to have them apart of the team, two complete assets. They have great energy, just two dolls.

Office staff and wait time are given five stars. I went in for breast implants a little over a year ago and had met with Dr. Hedden. I felt a little overwhelmed as this was all new to me. We decided on a size and scheduled a surgery date. Surgery went fine but Lord, do they rush you out of there when you wake up. We stayed at a local hotel since we live two hours away. Had my follow up the next day and was good to go. A few months later, I noticed my implants had fallen/shifted and wasn't happy with the results. Contacted the office, came back in, and was told they were out of pocket. I had done some research prior and had asked Dr. Hedden for an internal bra to help support the implants. At this appointment, we decided to go a little larger to fill in everything which was also why I was adamant about the internal bra. He decided it wasn't a good idea and I ultimately trusted his judgement. I wanted to make sure I didn't mess anything up and make sure I was wearing the proper bra post surgery. I asked twice about someone emailing me the exact brands to buy and I never received anything. Dr. Hedden just showed me pictures of bras on the tablet. Now, I'm not even six months out and my dang implants are out of pocket again. I've followed post surgery instructions (proper supportive bra, elevated sleeping, no side sleeping, no stomach sleeping, no heavy lifting- all the things) and I'm stuck with side saggy implants. At this point, I'm too afraid to get another consultation by him because I don't want another botched surgery, but this is definitely not what I have paid for as a cosmetic surgery.

I had a great experience with surgery and Dr. Hedden. I went in for my pre-op appointment. Tried on several different sizers to see what I liked. Originally, I paid for lift and the augmentation since I live two hours away we had an over the phone consultation but once I got there Dr. Hedden seemed very confident that I didn’t need the lift. Which shows that he is out to give you the best results possible for you because some other doctors may have did the lift simply because it was already paid for. I had a wonderful anesthesiologist! He was great and made me feel very at ease. After surgery I had very minimal burning and pain that night. The next day I was feeling well enough to do my makeup etc. so not much pain. Went in for my post-op appointment with lyndsie since Dr. Hedden was out of town. (I knew he would be before my appointment) Lyndsie was professional but told me that my bra was too tight. I asked several questions about the right bra since you obviously want the best to have the best results while healing. She said “listen” like I had aggravated her by asking a couple times needing reassurance on what bra to buy. Since I have already spent money on several so I had plenty of options. I wish the facility offered a post op bra with the surgery that you could purchase. That way it takes the guess work out of buying so many and none of them working. So after 8 bras purchased I am on the hunt for another one. That part has been frustrating. Other than that, they look good looking forward to seeing the final results after swelling and all has went down.

Dr. Halka and his team are phenomenal, from my first appointment for a consultation through surgery and postoperative care it has been a wonderful. They always answer any and all questions or concerns. I couldn’t be happier with my experience and results!
