I was very disappointed after my appointment a couple weeks ago. I have been a patient here for almost 3 years with Catherine and she was amazing. I made a new appointment to establish care with the new provider and she spent all of 5 minutes and a copay later just to tell me that they can no longer send my prescriptions through insurance and that I need to find a new provider. Would have been so much easier if they just told me over the phone a month ago when I made the appointment. They knew why I was coming in. Wasted time and money and now I am left scrambling. It is really disheartening that you are trying to price gouge and take advantage of individuals looking to lose weight just to make a few extra dollars.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at the clinic! From the moment I walked in, the entire staff was professional and welcoming. I cannot say enough good things about the NPs, especially Ms. Olga Lucero. She was incredibly caring and attentive, and her determination and dedication to helping women with their healthcare needs is truly inspiring. I am especially impressed by her commitment to continued education in women's health, ensuring her patients receive the most up-to-date and specialized care possible. She makes you feel heard and supported every step of the way. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for top-notch, compassionate care! Im looking forward to my continued visits! (For any women struggling with peri/menopause, you don't have to suffer alone when there are caring professionals ready to assist you at this clinic)

My wife and I went here for like 3 years and Catherine James was great. Then one day we need our prescriptions and we couldn’t get a phone call back. My wife called and least 6 times and I called 2 times. Unfortunately, we moved to a different doctor and couldn’t be happier. Just beware.

Warning: NP at this clinic with very shallow ego and terrible bedside manner. Stay away if possible, there are many better choices in the area. I was assigned a new NP after my previous PCP left the clinic. During my initial visit, I was not asked any questions about my history or concerns and was immediately given multiple referrals without a physical evaluation, despite me clearly stating that I have been frustrated with past providers skipping evaluations and treating symptoms without proper assessment. When I expressed these concerns, I was met with defensiveness rather than listening. While I understand referrals are sometimes necessary, I expect a primary care provider to ask questions and take time to understand the patient before sending them out. If you are looking for thorough evaluations and a provider who listens, this may not be the right fit. In response: Thank you for responding but your reply actually proves my point. Instead of addressing the lack of listening or collaboration, you defended referral practices. Endless specialty referrals, many of which could have been avoided with a more thorough assessment, are financially draining. I am navigating the same process for my daughter, which doubles the expense and which I explained to the provider only to be told I am anxious, not following the plan, and handed more referrals. It is exhausting and expensive, especially when I came in for burnout (not medication) and left with more appointments, more copays and no meaningful evaluation or plan I agreed to. The cookie-cutter after visit summary did not reflect the actual interaction experienced, which makes it clear that the "plan" was only made to look good on paper for auditing and CYA purposes but was not patient centered in practice. The fact that your response comes unprofessionally close to towing HIPAA lines while focusing on defending decisions rather than acknowledging concerns should be a red flag to others seeking care, and that's what this review was meant to say.

Ever since NP Cathy left, this clinic has gone downhill. In a previous conversation with the new provider, on Dec. 9, 2025, Monique Coolidge NP, in a very sassy way she said "it is the patient's responsibly to inform the office in a timely manner when the medication is running low." Not only did I let Monique know [at that time] that I needed a refill, I had to contact the other NP on staff. Monique responded and said, "Thank you". Well...I sent a message to another NP provider at the clinic - no response [NP Abeyta]. This is the 2nd message I've sent regarding a refill of my prescription. If a patient goes off this particular medication, there is a major risk of seizures. Here are the major concerns: 1.) unprofessional communication, and 2.) failure to provide a safe continuity plan while referral is pending. I wish I didn't have to write this, as this used to be a great clinic. I you are afraid to practice medicine, you are in the wrong business. Pick another career. UPDATE: March 1, 2026 Unfortunately, we had to file a complaint against Monique Coolidge NP and the owner Olga Lucero, MSN, FNP-C with the New Mexico Board of Nursing (NMBON) for: 1.) Patient Abandonment 2.) Unauthorized Disclosure of PHI Olga Lucero also owns Freyas Lair Medical Spa and Reform ABQ. If the blatant violation of NM law and right to privacy are the same, I recommend staying away from these businesses altogether as well.
