Chinese Healing Massage

I was really disappointed with the service my husband and I received tonight. We had an appointment scheduled, but our massages started about 10 minutes late. When the massage therapist finally came in, she seemed upset and was yelling at the other staff members, which immediately made the environment uncomfortable. Throughout our appointment, the staff were arguing with each other, taking phone calls, and even leaving the room to answer the door. It felt very unprofessional and made it difficult to relax. During the massage, the therapist was also taking her frustration out on my husband, and they ended up switching him to a different therapist midway through. Also my husband did not receive the hot stones that were part of the service, and neither of us had the front part of our bodies massaged. Overall, the experience did not meet our expectations, and the money we paid was simply not worth the service we received.

Went in as a walk in, they did take me. Next door was really loud, could not relax. I did a 60 min massage and only had $100 bill and they would not give me change: they bullied me into a $40 tip. Very disappointed.

TL;DR: A very good, very thorough massage (above and beyond the usual). All in all, I think $80 is a great price for what I got, compared to what I am used to getting when I pay the same price in another Chinese massage place. Will be going back monthly! I went to Chinese Healing Massage at 11:30am on a Thursday. I brought cash with me so that I don't pay extra fees. For the $60 (one hour), the tip apparently is $20 (I didn't know) so expect to pay $80 all in. At first I was skeptical. I saw the other negative reviews about this. But it was close to work, and I really enjoy Chinese style massage and I have been getting Chinese massages for 2 decades now, so I know the techniques and what to expect. So I went anyway. I got Lili as my masseuse. I put on the timer to see if in fact it was going to be 1 hour (it was exactly, which is nice because in some places they really mean 50mins). Lili did the stretch warm-up massages using her arms, followed by stepping on my back and legs, including pressure points (this is not usually included in standard massage). Then, massage with oil using her elbows, hands and arms, with even, strong and firm pressure throughout. She did the back, then the front (extensive in the front including chest, sides and stomach, which is extra and not standard). Then she massaged my face and chin, which is also extra and not standard. Then she did hot stones and hot towel massage (sometimes included in standard massages, sometimes not). All in all, I think $80 is a great price for what I got, compared to what I am used to getting when I pay the same price in another Chinese massage place.

If I could rate this place negative stars I would. We did the right the thing and looked at the reviews and made sure the place was legit. I saw a few reviews that said they didn’t honor gift certificates, but they were older so I thought we were good. We called and made an appointment for 2 massages and when we arrived we produced our Groupon. The first thing that raised red flags was that she said she had to call the owner first. She then hands my boyfriend her phone and the person on the phone proceeds to tell him that they “have a new owner” and they couldn’t honor the coupon. It’s on us for trusting the wrong people. We immediately left and the “owner” proceeded to text my boyfriend, offering $20 off a massage. She must be crazy to think she’ll ever get another penny out of us. I suggest you look for ANY OTHER massage place than this. We’ll also be reporting this to Groupon itself.
