It was my first time getting a hair service back in March with Raquel Martinez (Sierra Sage Salon) at the Village Salon Plaza. I did not have a good experience and would not recommend this stylist due to her subpar work, dishonesty and lack of follow up. I spent over 6 hours at the salon. Although she was a good conversationalist, I'll give her that; I have never spent this much time getting my hair colored. Nearing the end of the service she left to use 'the restroom" came back and was a bit clumsy knocking over some things and the vibe was strange. As she was blow drying my hair, at the last minute she said she had to make some changes to my hair because she said there was a "blonde line going across my head". I wanted the color to blend into my natural hair color and that didn't happen. She added something to my hair and was finished. She stated that she GUARANTEES her worki and that if I am unsatisfied I had a week to let her know and she would make the corrections free of charge. I did let know the color looked very off. When I got home and thoroughly looked at my hair some more I was very displeased with the result. The blonde started about 4 to 5 inches down from my roots. I let her know I wanted the blonde closer to the roots about an inch away. Also the layers of hair beneath the top layer barely had any blonde. My hair literally looked like someone very inexperienced made a complete mess up of my hair color. In my opinion my hair looked worse than when I went in. Not to mention she has very poor lighting in her Salon room so it was very difficult to get a good view of my hair when she was done. I let her know within a week what I was unhappy with in regards to my hair, and it was a struggle to get ahold of her. She then stated that she would charge me 100+ to fix my hair..... then when I tried to get an appointment scheduled with her I NEVER HEARD BACK! So I learned that she does not guarantee her services. Very poor experience with Raquel and won't be going back.

I absolutely love Meraki Hair studio located inside village salon studios! I found my go to stylist Casandra. She did an amazing job on my mom's, sister in-law's, and my hair. We will be coming back! Thank you so much!😊💕

Received a cut, color and highlights from Angie Jost today and it turned out amazing! She is so fun and personable and nice and fantastic at her job. I live in Wisconsin and come to ABQ every few months and will wait to have her do my hair when I am back. Thanks Angie for making me feel so good about my hair again!!!! I definitely recommend her!!!!!!
