My experience for leg vein treatment was very positive. All of the staff members are professional, efficient, and also friendly. During the procedures, Dr. Cutchen constantly explained what he was doing and how it would feel, which I very much appreciated. Follow-up information and care was excellent.

Excellent doctor and staff. I highly recommend their work. I always knew what to expect before, during and after my procedure. Very happy with my results.

First my name is Jacklyn Cataldo. [ SPECIAL NOTE IN RESPONSE TO DR. CUTCHEN'S REPLY. To the contrary of Dr. Cutchen. First. Yes there is such a thing is " HIGH RISK SCLEROTHERAPY " Particularly around the ankle and feet due to the extensive nerves and possible complications of arterial ulcerations." This is a proven medical - material fact." Second. Dr. Cutchen's Office Manager Marilyn " informed me that Dr. Cutchen offered a reduce sclerotherpy rate due to his aesthetic nurse being not fully experienced and trained in performing these procedures." Third. If Dr. Cutchen's Office Manager Marilyn had informed me that Dr. Cutchen would have been present during his new aesthetic nurse sclerotherapy training I would have accepted the reduced rate offer. But that was not the case so I made the decision to not proceed to protect myself from any possible wound complications. Fourth. Sclerotherapy is the gold standard for treatment of spider veins around the ankle and fee but it must be done by experienced and qualified providers not nurses in training. Fifth. I stand on my review. ] (EMPHASIS ADDED). WARNING: Dr. Cutchen is a renowned expert in vein treatment. However I seriously question his business, ethical and professional practices. Dr. Cutchen has a propensity to exclusively refer his patients for both routine and [high risk] cosmetic sclerotherapy vein treatments to be performed by his [unqualified aesthetic nurse] without being trained, monitored and supervised by Dr. Cutchen. I sought cosmetic sclerotherapy treatment to remove substantial spider veins around both of my ankles. forefoot and legs. Specifically, sclerotherapy is the gold standard treatment for the removal of these spider veins. However,, while sclerotherapy injection treatments to remove spider veins around the ankles and forefoot is medically considered a "high risk" cosmetic procedure. Due to the nerves within the ankle and feet and if the aesthetic nurse done "improper injections or by an inexperienced aesthetic nurse" can cause " immediate substantial sores, intense pain; could lead to lasting and permanent nerve injury if the injections mistakenly hit a nerve. (Emphasis). Dr. Cutchen previous experienced aesthetic nurse had left his practice. Dr. Cutchen hired a new aesthetic nurse who is inexperienced, unqualified and not medically trained to perform these "high risk" cosmetic sclerotherapy treatments particularly on the ankles and feet. I had refused to proceed with these cosmetic sclerotherapy treatments due to Dr. Cutchen had delegated his new aesthetic nurse to perform these high-risk sclerotherapy treatments without his (Cutchen's) physical supervision. Dr. Cutchen's office Manager had offered me a "reduced per treatment sclerotherapy rate" to proceed with these treatments. I [declined] due to the substantial high risk of these procedures and potential substantial nerve damage particularly and without Dr. Cutchen physically present with his new aesthetic nurse to perform these treatments. (Emphasis). In addition, I contacted Dr. Cutchen's office Manager and "offered to pay "double the $300 rate persession e.g. $600 per session to had Dr. Cutchen perform these sclerotherapy treatments. " The office Manager refused stating, " Dr. Cutchen does not have the time to perform these cosmetic sclerotherapy treatment or to do double sessions." (Emphasis Added). The issue here is that Dr. Cutchen "only" wants to perform ultrasound / invasive sclerotherapy injection where he is able to bill the insurance companies for $2,000 to $5,000 per 30 minute session and not perform cosmetic treatments for $300 per 30 minute session. I highly suggest and recommend that you please do not go to the Albuquerque Vein & Laser Institute of Dr. Robert Cutchen and put yourself at risk for potential injury or disfigurement resulting from his inexperience and unqualified aesthetic nurse to perform any of these cosmetic sclerotherapy spider or varicose vein. treatments. As a business owner I understand the importance of reviews. I would like to take a few min to describe my experience. I went in to see Dr. Cutchen and his wonderful staff after several botched procedures at a vein clinic in RR. The facility was very clean and welcoming. I had some extremely large veins removed from my leg along with a few smaller procedures and not once did I feel uncomfortable or unsure about the procedures. Dr. Cutchen explained everything, and I feel he went the extra mile removing the large veins in order to ensure future comfort for my poor legs. He has a wonderful helper that did my ultrasound and assisted in the procedures, she was very knowledgeable and efficient (I'm sorry I forgot her name). I can't say enough about this wonderful office. I highly recommend ABQ Vein & Laser Institute to ANYONE suffering from varicose veins. Thank you again and again.
