Recently my husband and I had a healthy skin check at the Vail office. It was such a positive experience from start to finish. We were welcomed to a clean and comfortable environment by the front staff. Our actual exam was thorough and we were able to ask questions and get clear and honest answers from the care provider. It truly was one of the easiest appointments ever. Check out was simple and we will return in a year! We encourage everyone to put their skin out there for a check up in Tucson. Wound care here is fabulous...they help to educate you about the healing process as well as measure your healing throughout. This is a good place to get my daily sun screen products and NUTRAFOL ♡ it is located in the River Plaza just West of Campbell lower level Suite 101. Technicians are professional and friendly.

My primary doctor recommended this office, so I decided to give it a try. When I called to make an appointment, the automated system said texting was faster—so I texted the number provided. The person who replied couldn’t schedule anything and instead sent me a link. The link showed a long list of providers without clearly stating who was an actual doctor, which was the whole reason I reached out. When I clarified, she just sent the exact same link again. The “faster” text system was neither helpful nor friendly. Eventually I managed to book an appointment. The front staff was polite, and the assistant who brought me back was very kind. When the doctor came in, the first thing he said was that I’d gotten lucky because he had a cancellation—most people wait months to see him. Why make a point to say that? It set the tone, and I didn’t feel welcome. He listened to my initial concern, but the entire visit felt rushed. He recommended hydroquinone and said was safe to use continuously without breaks, which is alarming advice considering the well-known risks of long-term use- it can cause irreversible damage. Multiple doctors I have seen and even basic research confirm that breaks are necessary. I have used it before and wanted to try something else. Any additional question I asked, he redirected to the aesthetics department downstairs (who do lasers and peels)—even redirected me there for a prescription. Why send me to someone else for a prescription you should be able to help with? It felt dismissive and he was uninterested and just arrogant. I later saw another doctor who confirmed my concerns about the hydroquinone. I’m shocked that my first visit included such questionable guidance.

I recently had my regular six-month follow-up at Healthy Skin. As always, easy check-in and exceptionally friendly and professional front desk staff. They set the tone for a great environment. Then came my visit with Dr. Jim Schwartz. Again, as always, a good experience. Dr. Schwartz had in the past prescribed flouricil (sp?) therapy for my scalp issues, and he reviewed the current state of my scalp and ears. I'm 77 YO, and in all those years, Dr. Schwartz is easily one of the top three doctors I've known. Sincerely interested in you as more than just a patient, great demeanor, friendly, direct,and professional -- it all leads you to complete trust and confidence in his advice, diagnoses, and treatment. I would have a difficult time having to go to anyone else for skin care.

Very pleasant & welcoming office & staff. The doc introduced himself by his first name which I enjoyed. He was very thorough in searching my body for any skin problems….. he even checked the soles of my feet!
