I haven't had a facial in *years* but traveling gave my skin a beating. I have extremely sensitive skin, and the air quality just murdered my face in SLC. BUT Lisa saved me before a big conference! During her consultation with me we reviewed ingredients because I get red insanely easily. Lisa was SO accommodating and kind and great to talk to! I had a facial and wax. She made my skin feel AMAZING, even after my skin was waxed (it barely was pink! Smooth, and not irritated). I wish I had a before and after of my eyelids and puffiness before I saw her, but my eye lids were haggard and saggy and wrinkletastic and my face felt swollen in general... BUT LOOK AT MY EYES. What did you do Lisa it looked so good?! This was amazing!!! I wish you were in Michigan 😭 I'm going to consult her from afar since I'm not local but highly highly highly recommended!

My facial at Skin Focus Studio was exceptional. Lisa is an expert in skin care. She explained what she was doing at each step and what each product was for. The massage was delightful! My skin felt wonderful afterward. The studio is very clean, and Lisa is so nice and easy to talk with. I highly recommend Skin Focus studio and will definitely return. No one should cry when she sees herself in the mirror after her facial. I broke out in a terrible swollen, itchy rash and had to go to the doctor after my facial with Lisa. During our consult, I’d explained that I have sensitive skin and provided extensive details about my history, what products I use/work for me, etc. She told me to stop using my gentle Asian products because I’m not Asian. While she did review the ingredients of the products she used in the facial, she didn’t patch test any whatsoever. She told me my skin became inflamed twice during the facial, but she kept going. She said perhaps my skin barrier is compromised, but she kept going. I trusted her because of the positive reviews, so I was shocked when I then developed what the doctor diagnosed as an allergic reaction to the facial. (I patch tested the different products I purchased, no problems there.) Lisa refunded half the cost of the facial, but most of all I just wanted an apology. And some plan as to how she will prevent this for future clients, with sensitive or normal skin. (Fortunately Asian products have healed the damage she caused.)

I have been going to Lisa since 2008 and she is simply the best in the biz. I go to her regularly for waxing and facials, and she always has the best skincare advice, is honest in her feedback about new products, and is just so excellent at what she does. I could not recommend her more.

Lisa is great! She's knowledgeable, thorough, and not pushy with products or sales. I have absurdly sensitive skin and she did a great job listening to my concerns and creating a specialized facial that worked for me. I Definitely recommend her.
