Midlothian Dermatology

I should have written this two weeks ago but as we know life happens and sometimes we forget but I haven't forgotten my experience which is why I want to write a review. I had previously saw a Dermatologist and got a wrong diagnosis. I was desperately looking for answers to my skin condition and I am so glad that I came to this office. I drove 40 minutes from my home but it was well worth the drive. My entire visit was wonderful. The front desk lady was very nice. But I have to say that my visit with Stacy and her medical assistant was phenomenal!! Stacy was very through and very nice. I also loved how she explained everything. She suggested that I have a biopsy to rule out what I was dealing with, and after 4 months of suffering, I finally had a diagnosis. My diagnosis is going to take several months to heal but at least we have a plan and I am on my way to being free of this condition. :) Oh, and I have called the office twice with questions and they have been punctual about getting back to me.

Stacy and Lisa are the best. I have been going to Midlothian Dermatology since 2011. I started with Stacy for some problematic Keratosis. She was extremely patient with those stubborn spots but they finally stopped growing. In 2021 I Started seeing Lisa for micro needling. Because of my vanity ;) I wanted to keep my face looking as good as I possibly could. Lisa is so sweet but more importantly incredibly knowledgeable in the services she provided. I have been having micro needling done since 2021. She is meticulous and thorough. I must say I am constantly getting compliments. I am beyond thrilled with the results. My sister even came down from Northern VA to have a procedure done and she was also extremely happy with her results. She has not been able to find anyone as wonderful as Midlothian dermatology in her metropolitan area . for all your cosmetic needs see Stacy or Lisa. for Dermatology see Dr Adams. I recommend all of them

I took my 15 year old son to Midlothian Dermatology and we had an excellent experience with this dermatologist and their team. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, professional, and efficient. Knowing that my son was self conscious about his skin, the doctor explained everything and addressed all of his concerns, walking him through his treatment plan step by step. What really stood out was the genuine care and attention they gave him. His skin has improved significantly since starting treatment, and he feels confident again. The clinic is clean and well-organized — I never felt rushed or overlooked. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate dermatologist who truly puts patient care first. I’m so grateful we found this place!

Now that im getting into my 30s and want to start getting stuff with my body checked. I went in for a skin cancer screening/full body checkup and this place was very nice. I had a appointment with Erin adams and she was such a sweetheart. I didnt feel neglected. She answered questions and took time to explain things. It wasn't a rushed experience like I hear most places are. And the price for the walk-in and biopsy since I didnt have insurance wasnt even bad like i thought it would be. It was really affordable.. Definitely going to make this my main place to go from now on. Thank you for the amazing help Erin!

The worst ipl done I didn’t looking for free service but i didn’t looking for bad service neither. I didn’t look for discount but didn’t look for 5 minutes service for ipl and charged. If you know you don’t have confidence to do then say no to a customer so i don’t have to pay the second time coming back to expect getting a full service not testing and charged me. Unprofessional from a doctor to answer a review like this. I am in business myself, do business with your heart. Today i came back to see a nurse for my IPL her name Lisa. First time i came she told me to test for chemical peel and Ipl to see what works better, i told her i had ipl before. After the test three weeks i came back still like to get ipl done. I told her the ipl test she did last time didn’t work but i didn’t want to say it might be not strong enough because she supposed to a professional and know more then me. She started to said my skin is not working that is why i didn’t feel anything with the ipl. I repeated telling her i got that done before. She told me it will not work but since i still want it done she will charge me a little less, me ok i will try. She shot that light to my face but weird she didn’t target the spot like i done before she put the ipl gun straight to the face i felt something wasn’t right but still let she continued them she stopped and put some cream on my face. Myself was thinking she done?? Yes she done, i told her that’s not working i felt nothing. She said i told you your skin is not taking this. I was thinking what?? Don’t you still supposed to feel hot from the ipl, no not at all. Done, she took me to the front and charged me $75 for nothing. I thought she will do the whole face and charge, no two spots for $76 and one spot she did wasn’t on my dark spot, what’s that?? Then i said i am not happy with that charged they called the doctor out, the doctor of course will protect her and said your face is red, the spots will turn darker later. Lol the nurse has no experience at all in this ipl, yes she’s a nurse but not in this field. When i told her that i didn’t feel anything she should know her ipl wasn’t strong enough, i got it done before many times i picked them because my lady at my place moved so i picked closed to home, don’t try this place if you new and looking for opl.
