Richmond Aesthetic Surgery

TL;DR: Even if you have zero money, if you are considering this clinic for gender-affirming care (or any care at all), please book a consultation. You will not regret it. I had top surgery here, and I waited until after my first post-operation appointment to write this review so that it is comprehensive. There's many ways in which this clinic went above and beyond in their care for me: 1. Allowing me to take medications home before the surgery. This ensured that I had ample time to portion, research, and understand the role of each medication. 2. Dr. Nuckles went ahead and waived the $2500 practice fee. I simply explained my situation, and he waived the fee. There was no judgment, no request for proof. Just understanding and empathy. 3. I experienced a great deal of friendliness from everyone at this practice. 4. The team here--I wish I knew everyone's names--were wonderfully punctual in booking all the required appointments and consultations. There were 4 consultations total, one of which was at the site of surgery, not including the surgery itself. I was given clearcut instructions on how, where, when to show up and was very thoroughly briefed on what to expect at each appointment. 5. There was no overselling or false promises. Dr. Nuckles told me what the worst could be, and, when I ended up having positive results, he was equally honest in letting me know and celebrating with me. 6. I felt truly seen for who I am. 7. They worked with me to ensure that I could consume THC without negatively affecting my recovery, allowing me a non-narcotic analgesic option. No hate for those who prefer narcotics; they just don't work as painkillers very well for me (I end up cloudy-headed and in pain). 8. There's a lot more that added to my overall experience, like the nice color scheme of the clinic, the cleanliness, little details that one notices immediately upon arrival. I will just say to go and check Richmond Aesthetic Surgery out for yourself! The only minor issue I ran into was a change in personnel soon after my first consultation without notice. I did have to follow up because no one reached out to me to continue the care process after the initial consultation. This wasn't a huge problem, though; don't let it dissuade you from seeking treatment here.

For my first visit, I felt so comfortable and so relaxed! I was unsure if I would feel like a fish out of water and I felt anything but. The staff all from the Doctor to the front reception were incredibly friendly and kind and made you feel like you’d known them for years. I cannot wait to get my procedures done and start to feel and look like my old self again.

From my first consultation to my follow-up appointments, the entire process was seamless and very informative. They made me feel completely comfortable and confident every step of the way. Amazing experience! Everyone was friendly, smiling, and actually took the time to walk me through everything. They answered my questions without rushing and explained my post-visit directions in detail. Dr. Zemmel feels like a dad who’s telling you what’s best for you and why. He really listens, and what impressed me most was that he remembered parts of my medical history without even looking at my chart. That’s when you know someone truly pays attention. If you want a provider and practice who genuinely cares and knows what they’re doing, this is the place for you.
