Dentists on Grove Avenue

Came in for a quick check-up and the doctor was super polite and actually paid attention to everything I mentioned. The staff was chill and helpful, and the whole visit felt smooth. Honestly one of the better dental experiences I’ve had.

Made the appointment for a cleaning at this practice. The staff was friendly. But I got everything but the cleaning I came in for. I was there for over an hour getting X-rayed and finally examined by the dentist. The dentist came in after being there for 45 minutes and still no cleaning was performed by the staff. I was told after the dentist left the room that he left the practice and no one was there to do my cleaning (no hygienist) and that I would have to reschedule. Needless to say, I was confused and frustrated since I feel like I wasted my my time coming to this practice.

I usually don't leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my recent experience. I spent nearly two hours at the dental office for a basic cleaning, and unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The environment felt unclean, and the service lacked the expected level of skill. During the x-ray process, the technician didn't provide me with a lead protective vest, while taking images in the chair, which was concerning since it's the first time I've had x-rays without one. The dental hygienist, who was supposed to floss and polish my teeth, did a poor job. She missed several teeth while flossing and barely polished my teeth, leaving many areas untouched. It felt like my mouth wasn't properly cleaned. She seemed very inexperienced and struggled with using the polishing tool correctly. Additionally, I had to wait over 45 minutes in the chair for the dentist on top of the 50 minutes I had already been in the chair. When the dentist arrived she only spent two quick minutes checking my teeth. During the wait, someone changed the trash can in the cabinet next to me, exposing all the dental waste, which was off-putting. The office also had scuffed walls with dried splatter, further adding to the unpleasant experience. I regret not reading reviews beforehand, and I hope they make improvements for future customers.

Don’t trust this place & avoid. They recommend a bunch of procedures that you do not need and use scare tactics to try to get you to agree on the spot. You pay before you get anything done, which should be the biggest red flag of all. That is not common practice.

This clinic has such a relaxed atmosphere that even routine visits don’t feel stressful. The dr was gentle and gave me helpful tips without being pushy, and took their time to check everything carefully. It feels good to have found a place that cares about both comfort and quality.
