Let me start first by saying that I am a regular at this business, they are amazing and they consistently do a great job. Yesterday evening , I texted and asked if they had an appointment available and I would like a woman to do the massage. They texted me back and told me yes, and I came in. When I came in, they asked me what massage I wanted and I told him a 60 minute AMS signature Massage, as that’s what I always do and I’m always pleased with it. I was directed to the massage room, and the massage had started and a few minutes into it I noticed a man actually ended up doing the massage. I didn’t say anything, even though I know that there were two other women in the front lobby. The massage was excellent. This is probably the best massage I’ve ever gotten at AMS, which means it was exceptional. During the massage though, the masseuse asked me a question. I didn’t understand it so I asked him to repeat it again twice. He said “ 60 minute $80, 90 minute $100”. To which I replied with “ok”. I noticed the massage Was longer than usual, so when he flipped me over, I said “ Are we doing a 60 minute or a 90 minute massage?” And he said” 90 minute” so I said oh ok and 90 minutes is 100 dollars correct? And he said yes. When the massage ended, and I went to pay I gave the masseuse $100 and then it was pulling out money for the tip, And he told me that the massage was actually $120. I was confused, and then he pointed to the list of devices on the desk which show pricing. I said OK, even though I asked/confirmed during the massage that it was $100. I would usually boil this down to miscommunication, but I did ask during the massage to confirm. I did receive an excellent massage yesterday, but I am disappointed that I didn’t have it done by woman like I asked over the phone via text when I scheduled it, and I paid more than I had expected to pay.

Extremely professional. I had the man, he was clearly knowledgeable and perseptive. Checked in with me several times to get the pressure correct. He asked questions to make sure we were on the same page (very appreciated). I got the signature massage and it was the best blend of deep tissue and stretching. Perfect.

Best massage I’ve had in a long time! Mike did an amazing job working out the knots in my neck and shoulders—I left feeling so much lighter and relaxed. They were also very accommodating when I decided to walk in without an appointment. On top of that, I accidentally left my very expensive jewelry there, and when I called, they immediately found it and set it aside for me to pick up later. I really appreciated their honesty and professionalism. Highly recommend this massage place to anyone looking for great service and a truly therapeutic massage!

I go here when I'm pressed for time. Sophia is fantastic. Very strong. Very thorough. Prices are exceptional. I've been all over this city massage spas past 20 years. Union Ave will always be top tier, but A.M.S. is second to none. Love the atmosphere and the incense. It soothes the soul.

I scheduled a same day appointment for their 1-hour AMS Signature Massage. Mike was my massage therapist, and was extremely respectful. I feel absolutely amazing! Mike found all my trouble spots without my saying even a word. He immediately responded when I told him the pressure was too strong, and adjusted perfectly. He was stretching my body in ways that there is no way I can get on my own. I am a Physical Therapist myself, and was in desperate need for some self care. I am absolutely referring my family, friends, and patients here!!!
