Let me start this off by saying my husband WAS a frequent customer of Feet Retreat, coming 2-3 times a week on occasion. My review isn't regarding the quality of massage so much, but of the experience I most recently had there that left me feeling violated and exposed. After that neither my husband or myself will be returning as customers. Last weekend, I went in for a combo massage. They were busy, so the man at the front told me to come back at 5 pm. So I did. As a woman, I generally prefer being massaged by a woman. Although I wasn't asked and didn't specify, so I accepted it when I saw my massuse would be an shorter, older man doing the first part of my massage (foot) and didn't think much of it. I assumed because they were busy perhaps he was helping out and allowing a female massuse to finish up with a body massage. I thought surely they would have a woman do the second half of my massage (body) since I would be mostly undressed for that part. The foot massage was fine, although I had a visible bruise on my calve that the massuse didn't take any measures to avoid. That was a bit annoying and his pressure was a bit much at times, but I figured the second half would be better so I didn't complain. When I was told to go to the room for the body massage and undress (everything but my underwear), I expected that a female would enter once I was lying down. Lo and behold, the same man entered to do my massage. I was initially a little uncomfortable, but told myself I was overthinking it. But recounting the massage, there were 4 occcurances that stood out. First was how he tucked the sheet into my underwear. I know this is normal to do for a body massage, but this man pulled my underwear down more than anyone else had ever before, about halfway down my butt. Throughout the massage, he seemed to focus on my butt A LOT. I definitely didn't ask for that nor did I need it. It was definitely strange and uncomfortable, not to mention unprofessional in my opinion to do so without asking. Secondly, while massaging my back with my arms and hands at my side while he was standing next to the table, I could feel his body (his groin was right at the height of the table) pressing against my hand. So I moved my hand closer to my body and away from his. This happened on both sides. And both times he moved my hand back. I was honestly so shocked at it happening I didn't say anything in the moment. Thirdly, as someone who has had body massages there before by women, they have never incorporated stretching of any sort in my massages. I asked my husband about his body massages too and he agreed. Well, this man decided to add some into my massage. He took each leg individually and stretched it from the side back towards the opposite leg, as if to open up the front of my pelvic area. If I was wearing clothes, this might have been an understandable stretch, but since I was only in my underwear it definitely felt out of place for a man to do this stretch on me. But the part the solidified the sketchiness of the whole massage for me was when he basically did the same stretch to my arms/chest. He placed my hands behind my head while standing in front of me (keep in mind that I am topless), and lifted me by each arm, stretching me to open up my chest, but in the process lifting me so much to each side that there is no way he didn't see each of my breasts. That moment was the moment I knew I would be calling my husband the moment I left and we would never return. Fourth, he continuously asked me thoughtout the massage, "You ok, lady?" I just mumbled "mm-hmm" because I assumed he was asking about pain or pressure, but looking back I wonder if he was asking to see if I would say anything about what I was experiencing. I wish I had now. All this to say, I cannot fathom the thought of returning. Please ask women what they are comfortable with and aim for only other women to massage them unless asked otherwise.

Absolutely awful. Massage was very hastily done. Sheet was thrown on top of me bunched up when she moved to my legs. Very cold inside and not relaxing at all. She got on top of the table to massage my back. Very uncomfortable and disrespectful of boundaries. Do not go here. Worst massage I have ever gotten and very unprofessional.

Husband bought me a $100 gift card for our anniversary. I used it for a one hour massage ($70). When I went to pay, front desk guy rolled eyes and mumbled under his breath when I pulled out my gift card, then refused to let me tip with it. He handed me a $30 gift card back and angrily told me to come back another time. I said “Can’t I just use this for her tip? I want to tip her. I didn’t bring another form of payment because I knew this would cover the massage and tip.” He snapped “you don’t have other money??” Then snatched back the $30 gift card Mumbling under his breath the whole time. The last time I was here (a year ago) I heard the same front desk person get into an argument with a client about what service she had booked. She was in the middle of her massage. He and 2 other workers began arguing loudly with eachother in Chinese. (My masseuse stopped massaging me to go in the hallway and join into the argument) the client eventually just got up and left. She was a soft spoken older lady and I heard her telling the front desk man “this is not how you talk to customers” I will never come back.
