Woodhouse Spa - Carmel

This is my favorite massage spa! I’ve been a regular for a while now and the experience is always amazing. The atmosphere is peaceful, the spa is very clean, and the therapists are skilled and attentive. I always leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality massages and great service!

They staff was pleasant and welcoming. The ambiance was very warm. I had a massage by Amy and a wax by Rebecca they both were very professional and provided great service.

I’ve been coming to Woodhouse Day Spa in Carmel for years and have always truly enjoyed my visits. The services themselves continue to be excellent — my most recent facial was wonderful, relaxing, and professionally done. One of the things I’ve always loved about Woodhouse is arriving early to enjoy the quiet time room before my appointment. It’s typically such a peaceful part of the experience. However, the last couple of visits, there were guests talking nonstop for the entire time I was there — nearly two hours. At one point they were whispering back and forth, which honestly became even more distracting than normal conversation. It made it very difficult to relax in what is meant to be a quiet space. During this most recent visit, I also had a scheduling mix-up on my end and arrived at the wrong time for my appointment. I take full responsibility for that and apologized when I arrived. I’m usually very early and on time, so this was out of the ordinary for me. That said, I did feel a noticeable difference in how I was treated at the front desk afterward. I observed other guests being warmly welcomed with tea, water, and the signature hot neck wrap with their name tag, while I was simply told I could help myself. It felt awkward and out of character compared to the hospitality I’ve experienced there for years. When you invest in a spa day, especially as a gift or special treat, you really hope for a peaceful, relaxing experience. I share this feedback because I know how exceptional Woodhouse can be when every detail is attended to, and I hope this helps maintain that standard for all guests. The spa providers themselves continue to do a fantastic job, and I look forward to many more visits in the future.

I went to Woodhouse Spa Carmel for a maternity massage at 20 weeks. Amy seemed new to maternity massages, or possibly just nervous. Pressure was very light even after requesting increased pressure (maybe the therapists aren't advised to apply more pressure during a maternity massage.. I'm not sure), and oil was nearly cold. We started 10 minutes late (no problem at all), but then ended the massage after only 43 minutes instead of 50. After having me turn onto my left side, she massaged my neck and right shoulder but forgot to massage my right leg like she did on the opposite side. There also wasn't significant focus on my lower back muscles as described on the website, but rather a lot of focus on my scalp and around my ears..? Overall, the massage felt more like someone rubbing oil on my body rather than an actual massage. Regarding the location: I would highly recommend the Bottleworks location over Carmel. I previously went with a group of girl friends to Bottleworks, and they put us in a separate quiet room so we could chat without disturbing other guests. Unfortunately during my visit at the Carmel location, there were a couple of groups talking loudly in the quiet room, which dulled the relaxing ambiance. I also had to find a worker to request a warm neck pillow, which is something Bottleworks provided without asking. *Update* The spa manager contacted me directly after receiving my feedback from their survey. She was very reassuring and stated some massage therapists are not as comfortable with maternity massages as others and invited me back with a more experienced therapist. I haven't had that visit yet, but I greatly appreciate their responsiveness and eagerness to leave clients with a wonderful experience.

Just gorgeous inside and very relaxing. This was my first visit, and I cannot wait to come back! Customer service was amazing, and the facilities are impeccable. I got a package there, and spent about four hours being pampered. The transition between services was incredibly smooth.
