Essentials Day Spa of North Tampa

First time at this location. Had a long-term contract with massage luxe but they stopped giving out water. Believe it or not. Great place. Very clean. Great massage, highly recommend!

I can’t say enough about my amazing experience I had at Essentials Day Spa of North Tampa. My facial was dreamy! The salon is so clean and beautifully maintained. The owner was extremely accommodating and warm! I can’t wait to go back for another super relaxing day!

My husband and I, Ziad and Christie Obaid, visited using a Groupon that promised a 60-Minute Couples Massage package, including Hot Stones, Aromatherapy, Exfoliation, AND Reflexology. We did not receive the service we paid for, and the management failed spectacularly to resolve the issue. These are the reasons for my one star review. 1. Unprofessional Start (Management Failure) Upon arrival, the young woman at the desk (who we later learned was the Manager) was speaking loudly and very poorly to the other receptionist right in front of us. This created an incredibly uncomfortable and toxic atmosphere. Neither she nor the therapists introduced themselves (no name tags noticeable), demonstrating a total lack of professionalism. 2. Missing Services & Time Reduction The advertised 60-minute massage was reduced to a 50-minute "clinical hour." Crucially, the Reflexology was completely omitted from the service. Based on their menu (which we have documentation of), this missing service is valued at $45 per person, totaling $90 for the couple. 3. Ruined Ambiance The relaxation experience was destroyed by unprofessional behavior. The “massage therapists” complained extensively about their management and the work environment throughout the massage, and one practitioner wore loud, clacking shoes. 4. Refusal to Resolve When we brought the missing Reflexology to the manager’s attention, she was unable to resolve the issue. She demonstrated a complete lack of critical thinking, refused to honor the deal's terms, and blamed Groupon, refusing to issue any credit or refund for the $90 worth of service we paid for but did not receive. This business is engaging in bait-and-switch advertising and the poor managerial conduct explains why the staff is so unprofessional. We have filed a formal complaint with Groupon and the BBB. Avoid this location.

My brother surprised my girlfriend and I with a Spa Day, and the entire experience was absolutely extraordinary! From the moment we walked in, we felt like VIPs—the host greeted us by name, and every detail was thoughtfully curated. Each of our sessions, from massages to facials, was tailored to our individual needs, which made it even more special. We were booked the deluxe package, which included a couples massage, facials, and access to the sauna and relaxation room. Everything was top-notch🙌🏼 A huge thank-you to our amazing massage therapists, Jessie and DeeDee, and to our incredible estheticians, Alyssa and Talni—you all have so much talent! And another special shoutout to the host for making my girlfriend’s birthday feel extra memorable. Thank you, Essentials team, for such a beautiful experience! 🩷

Fabulous experience! My therapist Stephanie listened to my concerns and focused on the areas that were bothering me the most. I really felt like she “read” my muscles and gave my tired feet and legs exactly what they needed. I went with the Therapeutic massage and it was perfect. I will definitely be back — maybe next week!
